Should I book a window or aisle seat for an overnight flight? Stay at a well-known chain or go for something more local and authentic? Splurge on business class or settle for premium economy? And most importantly… do I catch up on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills or New York? If your brain feels overloaded already, you’re not alone. According to a recent Mel Robbins podcast, we make 35,000 decisions a day. No wonder we’re all feeling a little fried. A client recently called me her “decision filter,” and it was a huge compliment! We help clients weigh travel pros and cons, sift through suggestions, and tailor every detail—from hotel to horseback ride—to their unique style. It’s both our pleasure and our privilege. We do it so that you can get back to life, skip the endless research rabbit holes, and return your focus to what really matters: packing your bags and picking your next Bravo binge.
Speaking of decision fatigue, one of our corporate clients tasked our CIRE team to help plan a 40-person incentive group trip for the summer. After talking through many destination ideas, our resident cruise expert, Melissa Chaquea, helped them settle on a Holland American Norwegian Fjords cruise! The cruise, flights, ground transportation, and shore excursions are all booked. The group will soon be cruising in peaceful waters while captivated by fairytale landscapes! Melissa has been a rockstar handling this fun group project.
Oh, and if you haven’t heard, big changes are afoot over at Southwest Airlines, creating many questions for travelers. Must I now pay for my bags? I get to choose a seat? Is my credit going to expire? It’s happening… The airline has finally joined the other legacy carriers when it comes to ancillary fees. Southwest President Bob Jordan calls the current era a “transformational journey to an Even Better Southwest.”
Have you gotten your REAL ID? If you haven’t done it yet, have no fear. You can still travel with a valid passport, but you will want to tackle that DMV stop sooner rather than later.
Now you’ll have to excuse me, it’s springtime in Maine (finally), and my garden is calling my name!
